Markham Architecture Bureau is a forward-thinking architectural studio for residential and commercial buildings. In addition to the bureau’s core skills built around urban master planning and contemporary architectural design, they aim to be at the forefront of innovation around creating the eco-conscious city of tomorrow. Markham A.B. believes in the power of environmentally and socially sustainable design to bring about change in the urban way of life.
The team seamlessly blends form, function, and environmental consciousness. The goal of the design is to capture that forward-thinking and innovative approach while conveying professionalism and credibility.

The Approach
Just like the architectural designs, the brand design toes the line between the comfort of tradition and invigorating innovation.
The custom brand mark is rooted in geometry but softened with rounded edges, while its slanted form adds movement. The shape of the ‘M’ is referenced throughout the visual identity to add further depth to the design.
The palette of deep teals and charcoals is contrasted with bright splashes of color, just as subtle references to organic flowing shapes contrast the geometric simplicity throughout.
A simple yet versatile font system completes the visual identity, that represents architectural excellence, innovation, and sustainability practices.
